India Today Poll For Bigg Boss 18 Has Selected Karan Veer Mehra As The Audience Choice Winner.
India Today poll for *Bigg Boss 18* has selected Karan Veer Mehra as the Audience Choice Winner.
Such a relation with the audience throughout the season let him earn this moniker due to popularity and fans support.
Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the audience favorite in an India Today poll before the *Bigg Boss 18* finale that will decide the winner on January 19.
The winner of the show *Bigg Boss 18* will be declared on January 19. Before the final day, India Today Digital started a poll on X with four top contestants of the season Karan Veer Mehra, Vivian Dsena, Chum Darang & Rajat Dalal. They called out for the favourite person, and the result was Karan Veer Mehra.
Karan Veer Mehra signed up for *Bigg Boss 18* only a week after clinching the *Khatron Ke Khiladi 14* championship. When asked about whether the stardom that he achieved on KKK14 would help him sometime on *Bigg Boss*, the actor said to India Today Digital yes it will give him some leverage. Since both the shows are aired on the same channel, the target group of audience is more or less the same.
He went on to say further that while there is a correlation, *Bigg Boss* is a much more popular show. I think that it is a daily show that is being watched 24/7 that gives a chance to reach the audience and develop your brand. As much as it would be seen as doing stunts. But yes, it is true that I do feel privileged to be coming in with some form of an edge.”
Karan Veer Mehra became the most searched celebrity the day he was declared a contestant of *Bigg Boss*. On looking back at the chance, the *Pavitra Rishta* actor said, “After the 10th standard, you have a goal of passing 12th, isn’t it? That was a more enhanced job opportunity than the previous one, and thus, I took it.
He also admitted that he had been approached for *Bigg Boss* before but for some reason or the other, he never agreed to do it. Sometimes, I was working or, by the time I wanted to enter, the contestants were already locked in. It was always a gamble but things started to get on the right track this year.”
