Saif Ali Khan Hospitalized After Knife Attack at Home

Saif Ali Khan was recently reportedly attacked by a man who entered his house in Mumbai and stabbed him with four times. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday. The actor is presently admitted in Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai and the hospital authorities declared Saif has come out of the dangerous zone.

The police has begun its investigation and an FIR against an intruder has been registered at Bandra Police Station. There was a break-in in Saif Ali Khan home when the man was still asleep.

According to Police, the actor engaged the intruder in fisticuffs after the latter tried to force his way in. Much later, the intruder was said to have assaulted Saif Ali Khan with a sharp weapon as he repeatedly stabbed him four times before escaping the scene of the crime.

Three attendants working at the residence of Saif Ali Khan are presently under interrogation by the police. According to the report, one of the attendants was assaulted during the commotion and he was wounded.

Preliminary findings include the fact that the perpetrator of the attack may have been a lone gunman.

Saif Ali Khan's team has released an official statement, which reads: :There was a break-in attempt in the house of Mr. Saif Ali Khan. He is currently in the hospital for surgery. We appeal to the media and the fans to be patient as this is a police issue. This is especially more so if we continue to follow the situation and update you on any new developments as and when they occur.
